I have a clue, in fact the curator of the zoo, good friend of mune, showed me a video of it. And they're not jellies. But I don't know if the let me announce it here... since the zoo website didn't announced the species yet I suppose that is better to not announce it.
For sure, species-collectors like me would find it interesting. But I didn't ever knew it before...
And no, it's not a different species of river dolphin![]()
Every time I see an alert for this thread it really scares me
hello, is this zoo the only one that has the Amazon pink dolphins? or are there others?
It's not the only place on Earth that keeps them, but it's the only one in Europe and probably the only outside of the species' native range. The others are at Acuario de Valencia, Venezuela and Zoologico de Guistochoca, Peru.
Visited Duisburg today (my first German zoo!) and was wondering if there was any information on some of the building work going on? In particular the enclosure next to the lions and the new aviary that seemed to be going up nearby?
No longer held according to an article in the Autumn 2018 edition of Zoo Grapevine & IZN, mentioned in the review of the International Zoo Yearbook.
What happened to them?
