Both Cuban hutias and iguanas (of the genus Cyclura, in post mentioned as "Wirtelschwanzleguane" will share an enclosure. A separate enclosure will house Jamaican boas.
After an eleven year break, meerkats have been born in Duisburg! So far 1 pup has been seen outside of the burrow.

In a bizarre turn of events, keepers doing routine maintenance work were stunned this morning when, whilst passing through the Rio Negra exhibit, they were blinded by a golden light. When it faded somewhat, an old familiar face was seen swimming around, glowing as if the fibre of his very being was made of cosmic energy:

At the stroke of noon local time, the keepers were blinded once again by a golden light, and a powerful voice was heard to say "Ich werde in einem Jahr wiederkommen!"
When the light faded, the exhibit was once again empty.
Authorities are baffled.
