I don't think they mean moving from fc to pc. They mean moving an elephant from one collection to another using pc.
And when animal welfare ist that important, why the hack they plan to keep 1,1??? are they expecting any major flooding in the coming years or so?
Anybody that has visited all the collections that exhibit African Elephants in the UK should be able to work out just which secret location in the North West of England it is!!As our friend Maguari so succinctly put it- 'they will take whatever elephants they can get'- at least in the first place. I'm sure they want more than 2 and I suspect the reason they are getting 1.1 is because that's what they've been offered from the still 'secret' location. But I am sure they propose to acquire additional females when they can get them, as they didn't build that enclosure for just two elephants.

I hope the female African elephant concerned does not grieve at being parted from her companions at her current home.
I would also like to ask this question, did the owners of this zoo design and build this "elephant Eden", before having suitable animals lined up to live in it?
Well Upali hadn't beenin a crate since he arrived at Chester yet they still managed to crate train him to go in 6 days, whilst working in PC so if its done right it can be done alot quicker!!I guess the Elephants concerned arrived at their present home as young(?) animals a good while ago, and haven't been in crates since then, hence the problems with the male.
I presume if that is a public viewing Gallery he is standing in, then you will view the animals from above(like their Giraffes) which is always a mistake IMO. Unless there won't be public indoor access of course.
Also I wonder what Noahs think about the male only being on-loan until his new accomadation is built at his current home!

But I do agree that there is a lot of steel work, more than I like the look of personally, but I have been told it’s to assist in management,For Elephants that is very much par for the course, and the heavy duty aspect too.
