This article discuss the zoo's current situation (a finanacially well one) and has a small mention of a new exhibit this year for the zoo:

If Konstant has his druthers, a $10,000 jungle exhibit of monkeys, iguanas, small rodents called agoutis, tortoises - and perhaps the endangered tree frog - will join the zoo's 400 occupants by May. Other acquisitions are planned.

The Elmwood Park Zoo received 2 young Golden Lion Tamarins from Delaware's Brandywine Zoo.

It is nice that in their Majestic Predators precinct they seem to focus on North American and South American Carnivora. It looks like the jaguar exhibit is only 1 big outside yard (with a non-viewable day yard and 1 indoor exhibit window viewable.
