This was the early 90s, can't see anything like it happening now thankfully! Looking back, it seems utterly bizarre

I am jealous reading your list! :p

Since so many people have got to touch lemurs, I'm curious on what they feel like

I have tried having a ball python on my neck.
Parrot sitting on my hand.

Also I have pet a african penguin in Yokohama and bottlenose dolphin in Ocean Park.

Oh jeez, I work with about 50 different exotics (and non-exotics) everyday. My favorites have to include: Eclectus parrot, black rhino, African elephant, giraffe, white-cheeked gibbon, raven, tawny frogmouth, American kestrel, red-foot tortoise, Indian star tortoise, three-banded armadillo, and a variety of reptiles and amphibians.

Crap so many I forgot, lol. Kinkajou, scarlet and blue and gold macaws, mandarin ducks

A lion cub.

This wouldn't have been from the then Dartmoor Wildlife Park would it?

I honestly don't know, sorry. The closest collections were Whipsnade and Woburn, so maybe one of those? The lion cub was a female called Nala if that helps narrow things down

I am not an animal keeper of any sort, just a common or garden zoo visitor, so I think the most notable exotic animals I've been lucky enough to touch are:

Bornean orangs - Paignton and Twycross
Sumatran orangs - Jersey
Lowland Gorillas - Paignton
African Elephants - Colchester
Reticulated Giraffes - Colchester
Brazilian Tapirs - Paignton
Capybara - Paignton
