Again, strangely not in my experience. The frogs at Bristol anyways were rather reliable animals. They are pretty big frogs.Mountain chickens often seem to be hard to spot in exhibits.

Some visitors complained that they hadn't seen elephants at London Zoo. The elephants were either inside or outside and the visitors hadn't looked at the right place. This seems to be improbable but in 2009 I visited Dublin Zoo twice in a week and never saw an elephant.![]()
Well it was only on-exhibit for two years. The Milwaukee County Zoo's official animal list states they have a Chevrotain in their Aviary, but not once in my eighteen years of going to that zoo have I ever once seen it, which is a shame since they're such interesting animals imo.
The aquarium's website says they are not on view at the aquarium. Probably died quickly after the opening of the exhibit, snailfishes are not easy. The arbiter snailfish are almost never seen at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, only saw one once last year.
The snailfish were kept for quite a long time before opening I believe and during their time on exhibit one or two were gravid, so they are probably still present. The aquarium's website says they are not on view at the aquarium. You are sure that you are not referring to the salmon snailfish (Careproctus rastrinus) which is still in the collection? The snailfish were kept for quite a long time before opening I believe and during their time on exhibit one or two were gravid, so they are probably still present.
I am referring to the arbiter snailfish, (Careproctus kamikawai), one or two were extremely swollen with eggs. Interestingly, during a visit to the aquarium today the salmon snailfish (Careproctus rastrinus) were not on exhibit. You are sure that you are not referring to the salmon snailfish (Careproctus rastrinus) which is still in the collection?
What was in their tank instead?I am referring to the arbiter snailfish, (Careproctus kamikawai), one or two were extremely swollen with eggs. Interestingly, during a visit to the aquarium today the salmon snailfish (Careproctus rastrinus) were not on exhibit.
The tank was completely dark with a sign over it stating it had repairs. What was in their tank instead?
