I am already planning next years garden (some seed varieties need to be ordered early or you won't get them at all) and it got me thinking about what kinds of potatoes that other ZooChatters might like, given that this is and international environment of sorts. I know that there are kinds of potatoes commonly grown in New England that might not even be known in other parts of the world. It sounds very obscure and odd but I really am interested. I know that there are members in the Southern Hemisphere who must be gardening right now, I am especially interested in what gets grown down there.
Here we have kinds like russet and Green Mountain (which is the world's greatest potato, as far as I am concerned) also Kennebec (the second greatest potato), and types like Yukon Gold and Dark Red Norland (okay), and lets not forget fingerlings (expensive and worth it.)
