Black-footed Cat:

Cleveland (Metroparks) Zoo no longer has Black-footed Cats. I am not sure if they still did in 2020 when this was posted, but I don't think they did...

I include animals that may be behind the scenes or used as ambassadors. As of last spring, they still had one.

Gotcha. Where did you get this info from? On the zoo's website, there is a long list of animals not currently at the zoo (listed as such) which includes black-footed cat

That got mentioned a few places on here, but I guess I missed updating this thread about it :) I've been doing a big update to this thread once a year but after spending so long on the ungulates thread, I need a break from checking to confirm species for a bit, lol.

Just to give an update on the margay; It was confirmed that after genetic testing she is a 100% pure margay, and was originally rescued by Wild West Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Amarillo after she was found roaming central Texas.

Brookfield and ASDM keep Ocelot.
yeah I was gonna say, I think Brookfield's ocelot is missing from the most recent update.

Also, extremely frustrating that there are so few (just one?) margays in the US. I thought I saw one at a sanctuary in Costa Rica, but I can't confirm that it wasn't just an ocelot (and is also irrelevent to this thread).

No more Maragays left in the US at all, I beleive.

Didn't see it, but Wild Adventures (Valdosta GA) confirmed to have caracal still as well as just adding servals.

Austin zoo holds cheetah now as well.

I'm slowly working on a full update of this thread. I've been updating my own spreadsheet the entire time - I already had the updates posted above - but confirming everything takes a lot longer. Last year the ungulate thread exhausted me, I needed a break from going through media confirming animal after animal :p I've got some personal stuff going on so don't expect it any time this month, but it'll happen.
