Flamingo Land Flamingo Land 2021

Does anyone know if the weekday price is always much lower than weekends, outside of holiday periods or is this currently due to covid? I've asked on facebook, but no reply yet. Cheers.

I don’t believe the weekday prices are cheaper at the moment - if you wait until around October time, they open the zoo only at weekends/holidays for £10.

I've only ever been later in the year when it's only the zoo open as have no interest whatsoever in the rides, they normally have it on a special price then :)

I was hoping to go to Scotland via Flamingo Land and Northumberland Wildlife on the return trip, before the school holidays, just to see somewhere new to myself. No way would I pay the full price for FL though.

FL have done a video on social media about their lions because of World Lion day. They now only have 5 (1:4)

After the litter of 2:3 back in 2009 (named after the days of the week) they now only have 1:0 Tuesday & 0:1 Friday anyone know what happened to the other 1:2 , rehomed or dead?

Kumali the male sadly passed away earlier this and as for the rest I'm not quite sure

Unfortunately I have not been able to post the video on here so you may have to go to Facebook to see how Joco was moved to Flamingo Land from Woburn

So monday must have passed away around a similar to me to Kumali, then the girls died / disappeared between 2017-2019. My hypothesis of this is kumali and zazzi were too homozygous ( since they were siblings ) for successful reproduction as of their 9 cubs only 5 got to adulthood and obviously only 2 made it to 12 which isn’t old by today’s standard. I would guess cancers or renal failure. Interesting because the two older girls are 16 now and are a cross between zazzi and her father mafue

That's brilliant news that area of the parks needed good news. Spending time and effort turning it into a chimp enclosure which only lasted a couple of years . Then it was planned to be Indian rhinos which got changed. Have a vague memory of an incident becuase the bars where not the correct size for different type of rhino, then the original male they received had a bad back. I know they sent rhinos to Africa but this is a massive bonus. :)

Was the original male Baringo II?
