Toronto Zoo Former Toronto Zoo Animals

@Jefferson, any species where the female mates with multiple males and has multiple babies has the possibility of producing offspring with different fathers, humans included (in cases of fraternal twins, ect. Identicals obviously have the same dad).

Today I found out that the St. John's Airport, there's a display case of animal products, most of which I'd assume were confiscated under CITES. However, the centerpiece of this display is a taxidermied Chinese Leopard named Qiu, who apparently was born at the Toronto Zoo in 1987 before being transferred to the Oaklawn Farm Zoo. Her remains were donated to the Canadian Wildlife Service, and she now resides in the airport.

I knew there were former zoo animals at the ROM, but I never expected to find one in an airport in St. John's!

What part of the zoo were the leopards kept in?

Gorillas, Charles and the late Samantha are grandparents again. Their daughter Sekani delivered her 4th offspring, a girl named Jameela via C Section about 5 weeks ago at Fort Worth. The baby was a premie but is doing well. Unfortunately reunification attempts fail and now a surrogate is being trained. This is her first with male Elmo.

I did not know that this premature gorilla is the granddaughter of Charle and Samantha. Toronto Zoo produced so many baby gorillas.

Yusufu the male mandrill died at the age of 20 at Calgary zoo. He was the offspring of Willie who was at the zoo. Yusufu was born in Granby. But he is the descendant from a mandrill that was at the zoo.

On March 22, Jameela is now at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. The surrogate mother is Freddie. Freddie had the experience of being a surrogate mother. Jameela has also been introduced to the herd.
