I talked with a keeper in the Australia section of the zoo on my visit. The keeper told me that the zoo has plans on renovating and remodeling this section by fall into next year. Hint Hint!!!!!!!

yeah, there was a job posting earlier this year that gave away a pretty good idea of whats coming. I have no idea why FWCZ is so dang secretive about their projects. Seems like a really really bad idea when trying to fundraise to not let the public know, there is more money available if you include everyone and not a few rich big wigs. I love my little zoo here but they dream way too small, they never do anything that makes you really say wow. I wish we could get koalas or new tasmanian devils since we were the last zoo to have them previously, but I know that won't happen. Might as well expect it to be just like African Journey, spend alot of money and not really do much with it. I just wish they would dream big, real big, I'd rather have 1 new ultra exhibit then a whole section that is basically the same thing spruced up with maybe a couple new birds. The Dingos need a new, huge yard something similar to Cleveland Wolf woods. The zoo is kinda landlocked in the park, but the park has massive amounts of unused land. I wish the zoo could start expanding on it instead of trying to reuse the little land they have. The lake and surrounding area beside the zoo is just dying to be added into the zoo. Some really amazing things could happen if they just had more land and just dreamed a little bigger.
