We got a new amur leopard! His name is samson, im guessing it is one of brookfield cubs.View attachment 398382

Samson is in fact one of the Brookfield cubs.

I’m glad they got Samson to replace Ussuri after her death. Better than the exhibit remaining empty until the ends of time.

On another note, I wish the birds in the Indonesian Aviary were signed, as the little “guides” have been there since the aviary opened and many species have since either passed or transferred, and new species added. Quite irritating as I spent quite a while last weekend looking for species that’d been gone from the zoo for 5+ years because I decided to try relying on the guide for once.

Also, it appears that the Sulphur-crested Cockatoo enclosure has been removed from the Indonesian Trail, the Eurasian Eagle Owls are nowhere to be found (or maybe they’ve been gone for a while and I haven’t noticed.), same with the Wobbegong sharks in ‘The Reef’ (have they been replaced by the giant groupers?)

Are they done with the two new exhibits by th entrance?

The lynx cubs can be seen on exhibit now. I talked to a keeper today and she said sekani, the cub with born with bad tendons is at the columbus zoo, just had surgery to repair the issue and is doing well. The lion enclosure had a sign that said "exihibit temporarily closed" i am not sure why or for how long.
