How common at Zoos: common
Can be mixed with: Other large mediterranean fish
Species seen at: SEA Life Konstanz, Wilhelma Zoo

The mediterranean Moray is one of the most often kept Species of Moray Eel in european Zoos and Public Aquariums. Maybee they are often kept because they live in the European Mediterranean Sea. Moray Eels are very fascinating Fish that are even popular with the average Zoo Visitors.
Mediterranean Morays are likely commonly kept in Europe as they are more easily available there than other species. Mediterranean Morays are rarely kept elsewhere - here in Australia, the most common moray species in aquariums is the Giant Moray, again because they are a local species and more easily available.

Photo Made by myself: unique fish Tank at Nuremburg Zoo, Home to: Hermit Crab/Long Spined Sea Urchin/Seahorse/Warty Frogfish/Razorfish

How common in Zoos: common
Can be Mixed with: Hermit Crab, Sea Urchin, Seahorse, Frogfish, Garden Eel
Species seen at: Nuremburg Zoo, Wilhelma Zoo

The Razorfish or Shrimpfish is very bizarre but also a very popular Species in Zoos and Public Aquariums. They are fore some reason often kept together with Sea Horses or Garden Eels.
There is a good reason Shrimpfish are often kept with seahorses and garden eels - all are very timid fish that are easily outcompeted for food by tankmates. They get along well with each other, and not much else can be kept with them, so it makes sense that many aquariums would mix these species.
