Right then, here goes...

you thought a portion of the horn of a Tajik markhor would be easy!!? I'm not looking forward to when you decide to up the stakes and make your posts difficult!!
Maybe I'm too much of a bovid nerd, but I thought it was very obviously a horn so we'd quickly get to which species!
(and it was a species famous for its horns - and only a case of getting to 'markhor' - I wasn't going to knock points off for not saying heptneri
)On the other hand, the gannet and the wild boar were guessed much more quickly than I thought. Funny how things turn out.

1. Is it some sort of amphibian?
2. Fishing Cat (I'm almost certain)
3. I can't decide if it's a primate/carnivore... I'm lost.
4. Toco Toucan? (I can't tell if that's a beak)

OK, a lot of these are on the right track but not quite there. Only one is correct, but you'll have to try and guess which one.

I think I've got a pretty good idea...
I'll say number three is a slow loris and number five is a discus
Number 1 I'm almost certain is an Oriental Fire-bellied Toad (the brown, more northerly form).
Number 2 is definitely a cat, I think I'm going to try Indian Desert Cat.
Number 3. Hmm. If it were just the left-hand half of the image I'd be certain it was a slow loris of some sort, but I'm struggling to fit the right-hand half into that.
Number 4 - I'm going to say Toco Toucan for now, but I'm not particularly confident.
Number 5 - it's a fish, I'm sure. I recongise the pattern. And I can't place it for the life of me. For the sake of a guess, Mbu Pufferfish??

2- Everyone is right in that it is a cat, but no-one has guessed the right species (none of the answers have even come from the right continent yet, if that is any help)
