Guess the species #6

I wish they were Pronghorn!

#5 is obviously too sticky. Would it help if I said I saw them in the wilds of North America, but that they're not necessarily native?

they're not Himalayan tahr are they? I thought they looked like tahr but I don't know if they are actually wild there or not?

they have them on the ranches, I thought maybe they had established outside.

Hmm. I really don't know. Just in case we are waaay off track, are they ungulates?

1. Eurasian Eagle Owl
2. Spiny-tailed Gecko
3. Greater Egyptian Jerboa
4. Collared Lory
5. Nilgai

I'll just throw Budapest out there as the possible location for the jerboa photo, in case it is required.

Well you might need the location bonus points, but only if you correctly ID photo #5.

@Moebelle, you might want some location bonus points too (Chlidonias already has one for #4 - San Diego).

#3 was not photographed at Budapest.

So as it stands now:

#1 - Eurasian Eagle Owl @ ? (Moebelle + ?)
#2 - Northern Spiny-tailed Gecko @ ? (Moebelle + ?)
#3 - Greter Egyptian Jerboa @ ? (Chlidonias + ?)
#4 - Collared Lory @ San Diego Zoo (Nanoboy + Chlidonias)
#5 - ? @ ? (? + ?)

Was the Jerboa taken in a zoo in the UK?

I can't see any other tanks for the jerboa except Budapest (which I thought looked good for the photo). So I'll go for Wroclaw.

OK, it was Mouflon!!!!

And the Jerboa was at Wroclaw (I think in a glass fronted indoor aviary with a few birds and possibly lizards, in their North African desert house).

So that means:

#1 - Eurasian Eagle Owl @ ? (Moebelle + ?)
#2 - Northern Spiny-tailed Gecko @ ? (Moebelle + ?)
#3 - Greater Egyptian Jerboa @ Wroclaw Zoo (Chlidonias + Chlidonias )
#4 - Collared Lory @ San Diego Zoo (Nanoboy + Chlidonias)
#5 - Mouflon @ ? (Chlidonias + ?)

Photo ID is a tie between Chlidonias and Moebelle, so it goes to tie-break based on photo location - first to three wins... (and now that you know that Mouflon are #5, and I was told they were only introduced to one tiny place, you should be able to get the location fairly swiftly).

All my sources for the Mouflon point that it was taken in Hawaii but that certainly is not the Hawaiian atmosphere. I'll stick with it anyways.
