@Thylacine-They have Reindeer all year long at Stone Zoo in Mass.,Rosamond Gifford Zoo in N.Y., and I believe at Utica Zoo in N.Y.
ThylacineAlive- To be more of a pain in the butt than I already am, it should be Beardsley's second miracle cub was sent to Buffalo, and you should specify that it was an Ocelot.
Beardsley Zoo: I can never find the Green Heron in the Alligator Alley walk-thru aviary, and I'm not even sure if they have them anymore. I also can't remember seeing Capybara, even though they used to have them and I'm sure that I saw them.
Bronx Zoo: Maleo was the most disappointing loss for me. I also never saw the Lesser Kudu that are now probably gone, or the Tenrecs in Madagascar!.
Roger Williams Park Zoo: I was unable to locate the Binturong which I was pretty eager to see, even though I had already seen them at Southwick's.
Lowry Park Zoo: Cheetah weren't on exhibit when I went, meaning I had to wait a whole other year to see my first Cheetah. I also wasn't able to see the Waterbuck as I did not go on the Safari Ride.
Busch Gardens Tampa: I was excited to see Short-Beaked Echidnas at Jambo Junction, but they simply could not be found.
Central Park Zoo: I did not see the Tamandua, Sloth, or Reeve's Muntjac.
Only spent about two minutes In the monkey house at edinburgh to take up time before seeing the pandas. Only after my visit I realised I had missed the hamlyn's monkey, Which have now left the collection.
the profanity was completely unnecessaryHoly sh*t!! I just remembered a huge one. Years ago my family went on a vacation to Arizona and visited Pheonix briefy and while there I wanted to visit the Pheonix Zoo but my parents didn't want to so I completely missed the entire Pheonix Zoo!! What made it worst is that we drove past it on our way out of the city.![]()
the profanity was completely unnecessary
such as when?Wait a minute, I've seen you use profanity quite a few times.![]()
such as when?
calling oneself (or even someone else) a dick is not a profanity.
Reread my post, I said miracle Ocelot cub. Isn't Buffalo's cub the conservational AI cub?
I only saw the pheasant and one species of duck when I went to Beardsley's aviary.
I think it's nearly impossible to find Central Park's sloth in that huge room so don't feel bad.
The first cub, Milagre, was called the "miracle kitten" because of the long odds of success for the AI procedure, which had not been done successfully in over a decade. His birth was only the third successful birth of an ocelot through AI.
Meanwhile, Alya, the second cub, was called the "second miracle kitten", because she was the first wildcat born through oviductal AI.
