I'm from near Nuremberg. I've been interested in zoos for about 15 years. Since then, I've spent my holidays discovering new zoos in Central Europe or revisiting familiar ones. That's how I came across this forum a long time ago.
I'm a species hunter, always looking for animal species I haven't photographed yet. But I also find it exciting to visit new zoos, even if the collection doesn't appeal to me. Sometimes you're surprised.
My 200th zoo visit was exactly on my 50th birthday (Zoo Salzburg).
I also like birds, reptiles and small mammals. And every now and then, there are times when I enjoy going to aquariums.
Unfortunately, my English isn't that great (but I'm still planning a trip to the United Kingdom next year
). Reading is fine, but writing, unfortunately, requires a translator.
