Hi everyone!

since my early childhood I've been interested in animals and zoos as a place where I can see them in large numbers have always been important in my life.

While I was primarily interested in the typical zoo species like big cats, elephants and giraffes during the first years, this has meanwhile changed. In general, I prefer birds, amphibians, some reptiles like geckos and turtles, smaller carnivores and some other mammals like insectivores, prosimians and smaller ungulates like gazelles or duikers.

Be sure to check out the website ZootierlisteHomepage! It's a database for the animal inventories of the European zoos, which I set up with some friends. Concerning Germany it's already more comprehensive than ISIS and I'm sure that this will also be possible for Europe if a lot of people contribute data.

I joined this forum as it was recommended by several friends. And who knows - maybe I'll find some new ones here...

Welcome to ZooBeat Kowari!! You should love this forum, as there are definitely a lot of members who live in Europe and will know many of the zoos that you have visited.

Hope you have a pleasent time here,

Are you named after the little Australian animal Kowari? Have you ever seen one in a zoo or otherwise?
