Hi everyone!
since my early childhood I've been interested in animals and zoos as a place where I can see them in large numbers have always been important in my life.
While I was primarily interested in the typical zoo species like big cats, elephants and giraffes during the first years, this has meanwhile changed. In general, I prefer birds, amphibians, some reptiles like geckos and turtles, smaller carnivores and some other mammals like insectivores, prosimians and smaller ungulates like gazelles or duikers.
Be sure to check out the website ZootierlisteHomepage! It's a database for the animal inventories of the European zoos, which I set up with some friends. Concerning Germany it's already more comprehensive than ISIS and I'm sure that this will also be possible for Europe if a lot of people contribute data.
I joined this forum as it was recommended by several friends. And who knows - maybe I'll find some new ones here...
