Looking forward to seeing it and hearing the otters' call but I'd love some video of the adjoining grassland enclosure!@Zooplantman can we all just acknowledge how IMPRESSIVE this turned out!! That’s the best Giant Otter exhibit I’ve ever seen right there. And now I have a VERY strong desire to go there!!
The snippets of photos seen on their Twitter page make me want to go badly to Houston! It’s amazing to see another Latin American theme zoo exhibits that are not as readily available as their fellow African or Asian themed exhibitsPantanal exhibit set to open next month. Open to the public Oct 10

Houston is going to kill it with both I imagine. Two sections of the world we don’t see as represented as other areas of the world, these will sure to attract the zoo nerds like us and hopefully the Galapagos exhibit will show off a diversity of species native to the islands instead of just tortoisesAnd next up: Galapagos
Sharks/other tropical fish and California sea lions subbing for Galapagos sea lions IIRC.Houston is going to kill it with both I imagine. That’s a weird thing to ask since I don’t work at an AZA institution or involved in the process of who wins these awards@Julio C Castro Will the South America's Pantanal exhibit at the Houston Zoo achieve the AZA Exhibit Award sooner this year due to it's delay from Summer to October of this year because of the pandemic?
