Slow year for me on visits.

Having a baby and covid restrictions will do that though!

Only notched up 8 places. But did meet my modest target of visiting 3 new zoos.

Wild Place
Axe Valley (first time)
Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm
SEALife Birmingham (first time)
Birmingham Nature Centre (first time)
Puxton Park
Bristol Aquarium (twice)
Bristol Zoo (sadly likely my final visit)

Good year for me in terms of zoo visits

Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo (of course)
Rainforest Adventures Discovery Zoo (Was able to see common kusimanses)
Dollywood Eagle Sanctuary
Bright's Zoo (Able to see cape vulture, tayra, black back jackals, was not able to see civet)
Bays Mountain
Gulf Breeze Zoo
How I forgot to include Kansas City Zoo is beyond me :)

I visited 5 zoos this year, including 3 new ones.
These are Scovill Zoo, Cincinnati Zoo, Shedd Aquarium, Memphis Zoo, and Dallas World Aquarium. Cincy, Memphis, and DWA were new.

This list is different from the zoos I normally visit, so I hope to return to those this year. I think I'll be able to visit more zoos this year as well.

I visited 13 zoos this year (The most I've ever done in a year so far), with a total of around 20 visits overall. I might be able to get to one more by the years end, but we'll see how things play out.

I visited 8 collections including 5 that were new to me.

I didn’t leave the area around my town in northern Sweden at all for first half of the year so no zoo visits.

I got to visit some zoos once travel recommendations were relaxed in the summer and went to Järvzoo, Borås Zoo and Nordens Ark.

A summer visit to family in the Netherlands took me to Blijdorp, Sea Life Scheveningen, Kerkrade and across the border to Antwerp.

I also went to Edinburgh Zoo towards the end of the year.

As already told in another thread ( Vogelcommandos anniversary - post # 36 ) I made 11 visits to 10 different zoos in 2 countries of which 2 were new to me :
- Zoopark Overloon
- Faunapark Flakkee
- Zie-ZOO
- Berkenhof's Tropical Zoo
- Avifauna
- Squirrel Experience Etten Leur
- De Bosruiter
- Zoo Plzen ( a new one for me )
- Zoo Prague ( 2 times )

Still no plans for 2022 but hopefully a few more zoos and zoo-visits this year !
