Amazingly, you're incorrect - both Cedar's Nature Centre (c. 920 m²) and the vivarium within Manchester Museum are a) significantly smaller and b) hold full zoo licences. Unfortunately, the latter has been closed for some time whilst the Museum is renovated - although it is due to reopen in a month or two. It contains a significant number of unusual amphibian species, some unknown to science before being described at the museum.

Shaldon is also excellent, of course - and punches well above its weight.
By accredited I meant with either BIAZA or EAZA and thus WAZA, and therefore equivalent to AZA or ZAA Australasia accreditation.

Fair enough :) looking at the list of BIAZA collections I can find one or two possible contenders for the position - Kirkleatham Owl Centre, for instance - but it all depends on how far any off-show areas there extend beyond the main courtyard.

Not that it matters, of course :P

I've been to seven different zoological institutions last year, my most prolific year zoo-whise (Yeah, not very impressive, I know :p). I tried to slide in Labenne late in December to give this year an extra punch but it was not possible, although I'll try and go for it soon or later this winter. These are the parks I've been to:

Returning parks:
- Mundomar Benidorm
- TerraNatura Benidorm
- Aquarium de San Sebastian
- Parque de la Naturaleza de Cabárceno

New parks:
- Zoo d'Asson
- Réserve Africaine de Sigean
- Parc Zoologique de Paris

I'm pretty happy with this year, mostly with the french parks. Paris, Asson, and Sigean have quickly become some of my personal favorite parks I've visited thus far, all three of them being there for very different reasons. I really wanted to go back to Cabárceno for the sake of moose and cape buffaloes, and it's always nice to spend an hour or two at San Sebastian. Going back to TerraNatura and Mundomar has only accentuated some huuuge flaws I missed on my first visits and in general, has made me dislike each park a little bit more than on my first visit. All that being said, going back to TerraNatura has made me get a good look at species like the Band-tailed pigeons and San Blas jays as well as many of the reptiles they house, which I consider one of the highlights of this year.
This was definitely a good year, let's hope 2023 can be even better!

Here’s my list:

Lehigh Valley Zoo
ZooAmerica
Philadelphia Zoo
Penn’s Cave & Wildlife Park
Cape May County Zoo
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
The Seas with Nemo & Friends

I haven’t gotten the chance to visit many zoos so hopefully this year I can visit some more.
