They're two rescue centres also situated next to the EPRC and the Turtle Conservation Centre, each with a small permanent collection of non-releasable animals. Save Vietnam's Wildlife focuses on pangolins (Sunda and Chinese) and small carnivores (the main focus is on Owston's palm-civets, but also Common palm civet, Masked palm-civet, Leopard cats and Binturongs are kept), and Four Paws Vietnam focuses on the bears - I saw Asian black bears, but I think they might have some Sun bears as well.@Vision What are Four Paws Vietnam and Save Vietnam's Wildlife?

When I visited Cuc Phuong I was there together with a friend that volunteered in the EPRC, who knew most of the volunteers in the other centres as well - I had no idea there were this many parks in such a small area either, before going there!
It definitely looked new! From a quick google search it looks like it opened in March this yearOh, I just knew SVW as the Carnivore and Pangolin Conservation Centre, and I had no idea there was a bear sanctuary there at all, in fact I almost wonder if it's very new?
I should imagine I'll also slow down next year, I believe I'm on 35 (I think) zoos for this year... Have you planned zoo 150? Or just going with the flow?Spurred on by @CGSwans I did some accounting and found that I am on ~135, which also means that I have visited 34 new zoos this year, almost certainly my record. Collection-wise, next year will be less busy, but I hope I can still hit 150, which will be the next big milestone.

I've also been to a few other facilities but I don't consider any of true "zoos" or "aquariums."

Its no more than 10 minutes away from Exmoor
I'll allow that thenNot if you rely on public transport!![]()
....and the final score is 53! Unless I can squeeze another one in....I set myself the target of a zoo a week for the current year. Currently on 51.
I'll allow that thenI'm surprised that public transport facilitates a trip to Exmoor... Impressive!
