How well do you know birds?

8 countries in their “normal” territories, and 3 more on dependencies, so a total of 11. I have seen penguins in 6 of these.

I have seen Galápagos penguin in Ecuador, Humboldt in Peru, Magellanic in Chile, Magellanic, Gentoo and King in Argentina, African in South Africa and Little in Australia.

Which former “species” was given the specific epithet “liberatus” and why?

I've even seen this "species" and have uploaded a photo of the only single specimen ever known of it before it was released again :). ( hence the species-name liberatus )

Tibetan eared pheasant (harmani), but for me it's still a subspecies of the white eared pheasant, Crossoptilon crossoptilon. Being grey in colour doesn't make it more different than the various subspecies of the very variable Kalij or Ringneck.

If I understand the game right you have to ask the next question Kakapo...
