I've even seen this "species" and have uploaded a photo of the only single specimen ever known of it before it was released again . ( hence the species-name liberatus )

Tibetan eared pheasant (harmani), but for me it's still a subspecies of the white eared pheasant, Crossoptilon crossoptilon. Being grey in colour doesn't make it more different than the various subspecies of the very variable Kalij or Ringneck.
