Jeebus people... I never implied that Berani would be euthanaised to free up space... who's been reading between the lines here?
I'm willing to tip that it is indeed Berani who is going to Hunter Valley... how many other candidates are there in the area? duhhh!

which I thought meant that he either be moved or euthanised so that the new tiger exhibit could be constructed.Taronga are redesigning the area that Berani is currently housed in, so he would either have to move anyways, or be euthanaised, so why not find him his final home at Hunter Valley?
So I have to spell it all out in great detail when I make statements like that, huh?
If Berani was too frail or ill to be moved, then euthanaisia could be on the cards, yes? Or would you prefer to have him live out the last of his days with construction going on all around him and stressing him until he passes away "naturally"?

and in answer to my own question, there's a post about the Tapir from this month on their Facebook. Is the Malayan Tapir still alive at Hunter Valley? Has anyone been there recently (as in the last couple of months)?
if you could put links that would be much more useful for everybody.I believe the zoo has imported Cheetah from the UK!
