I don’t think any of those species could be considered a “realistic” species for a zoo to keep, all of which requiring specialist care and not being particularly present in captivity with perhaps the exception of the elephant.

To you maybe. Tuataras, sturgeons or giant salamanders, among others, I could understand to evoke individual connotations of (pre)history in most people, but I have never felt any "otherworldly vibe" around antelopes, may they be of African or Asian origin.They just kind of give off that vibe, like you’re traveling to a whole new world.
