If you had a zoo, what 5 species would yo definitely have?

either, in one superlarge enclosure
Gorillas, plus 4 species that the gorillas would encounter in their natural habitat too (haven't decided which, but definitely not leopards or cheeky food-stealing monkeys! The gorillas should live mostly stressfree in my zoo ;) )

or, in 5 separated enclosures
Gorilla
BrownBear
Malayan Tapir
Maned Wolf
Lynx


I just realized I'm not overly into South American animals

No difference at all, it is merely a name some collections use to make their tigers sound special - all the moreso when you consider outside of India there are no Bengal Tigers at all, and thus these animals are invariably zoomix individuals.
 
As for me, restricting myself to taxa found in European collections.....

Montane Purple-faced Langur (Trachypithecus vetulus monticola)
Okapi (Okapia johnstoni)
Gharial (Gavialis gangeticus)
Tibetan Golden Cat (Pardofelis temminckii tristis)
Marbled Polecat (Vormela peregusna)
 
Banded linsang
Otter civet
Javan yellow-throated marten
Chinese dhole
Javan leopard

It's taken me all day to narrow it down to those five, ask me tomorrow and it'll be a list entirely! ;)
