On August 12th, the zoo announced they have rescued a (
1.0) Florida manatee from Palm Coast, Florida. He was hit by a boat/propeller, which caused fractured ribs, a collapsed/punctured lung, pneumothorax, and trapped air in his abdominal cavity, as well as his white blood cells being extremely high, indicating that he has a serious infection. On August 21st, he was named Wentz. On August 24th, the zoo announced that he succumbed to his injuries and passed away.
