Or because they realized it would have been a clear rip-off of the Anurognathus episode of BBC's "Primeval".
That's not likely to stop them.

I just watched the trailer link a couple of pages back. What's with the gigantic Mosasaur?! It must be several hundred feet long!!
Just a question, will this be the last movie?
According to Wikipedia, it's not a reboot: "Twenty-two years after the events of Jurassic Park, Isla Nublar now features a fully functioning dinosaur theme park, Jurassic World, as originally envisioned by John Hammond."
Oh good, it will be an animatronic, not CGI
It'll probably be both, like the first film.
Personally, I would freaking kill for a David Attenborough role in the next one.
Given he's been dead for almost a year, I doubt that there's a great chance of a reappearance, except for a statue (as in JW) or a film clip.
@TheMightyOrca: given the scraps of hints spread by the trailers and internet rumors, I assume that a) the I-Rex might be able to "communicate" with and agitate the other prehistoric critters against those tasty silly humans, b) might be a super-chamaeleon with Predator-like camouflage abilities and c) might share some DNA with the White Witch character, thus making it her "baby" (see Alien 4). And finally, e) the old T-Rex will probably fight the I-Rex at one point to please all the fanboys and -girls.
Let's see how much I'm able to predict correctly...
Richard Attenborough has been dead for almost a year, but not David...![]()
Has anyone noticed there are no raptors on the brochure?

And yes, the depiction of several dinosaurs is painfully inaccurate and/or outdated. As stated before, raptors with feathers can look scary

and could be explained by a "updated version" created by Henry Wu. But it's just JW, not an update of WWD.
