Paradise Park in Hayle, Cornwall, is thrilled with the the arrival of five new Kea chicks.
Two of the chicks are being hand-reared by keepers while other three are being reared by the parents. The two oldest are already confirmed as being females, which is excellent news for the captive population. Paradise Park plans to keep one of the females to join their single male and the others will join other collections around Europe, to promote genetic diversity.
