And rightfully so - having seen it for myself late last year, I can confidently say it's one of the best reptile houses/complexes I've seen... probably a contender for top 10 in the country IMO.

I’ve seen videos regarding it late last year and it looks phenomenal, would certainly make the day of any herpetologist

42-year-old African elephant cow Jana will be the first in the herd to depart for the Elephant Sanctuary; she’ll make the trip in the few weeks. A farewell party for her will take place this weekend as well.

The zoo has reached out to the public for bamboo donations to help feed the Red Pandas, including sending a team to cut it if within 30 minutes of the zoo. Good opportunity to help out the zoo should anyone happen to live nearby and have bamboo.

Jana, the zoo's elephant that relocated to Tennessee Elephant Sanctuary in March, has just passed away. With Edie and Tonka still in Knoxville at the moment, this might have altered plans for their future.
