Also, there are 2 baby pronghorns in the nursery. Probably born after the ZooScape cutoff date.
Excellent news! Any idea on sex (hopefully some females this time)?
Any further pronghorn coming in from Mexico as has been planned for ages?

Now that she is gone I wonder what will be exhibited in that yard. Long ago there was rumors of switching the Giant Eland to that yard and then bringing in a group of Somali Wild Ass to the current Giant Eland yard, but that never happened.
Thanks for the news Blackduiker!
Will the LA Zoo be the only zoo in the Western Hemisphere with Hoolock gibbons? According to ISIS there is none in Europe and other North American zoos, with the only ones in India. That leads to another question, I wonder where they came from?
Black Duiker, sorry to keep supplementing your list from ZooNews, but on May 5 (after the cutoff date) markhor twins were born. Two more does are pregnant and are expected to give birth at any time. I haven't been to the Zoo for about a week so one or both of the does may have given birth by now.
Thanks once again Blackduiker for posting them. Interesting that the Hoolock gibbons were returned so fast. They weren't even on exhibit a single day...
