It's not sad news*. It is a sign of a successful breeding programme. Do red pandas have such individual personalities that it matters anyway? Perhaps to other red pandas maybe. There are plenty more red pandas in the UK and I'm sure more will be born at Chester before long.It is very sad news![]()
Its very sad for me as I saw her grow up and was the first to see her as a cub, and I get attached to animals. It would have been nice for her to be in a UK zoo so I can visit and watch her grow up and have her own babies. So sorry if my humanity offends you. Ive seen most of the Red Pandas in the UK and love them all individually. Maybe this site isnt worth bothering with!
Your humanity doesn't offend me, and I hope I didn't offend you. Its hard not to get attached especially when you see them every week![]()
The first time I saw Lily and Lushui bringing her out of the den was on the 24th July, I really got some shaky footage as Id never seen a baby Red before and it was such a dream come true![]()
Yes I will miss Lily, but I'm not upset about her leaving as 1) it's for the best since it means she can breed over there, and Chester can breed more,
