Found it! (on the 1st page said by me) I do hope you read all the posts before answering

Yes I do find it all a bit disturbing (IMO) calling big cats babies and they way he believes he is their 'daddy' but thats my opinion I am sure his fans love it !!

you mention his babies and then say sick then you ask which other zoos he will visit if you are not a fan of this man then why o why would you want to know this unless it is to go and cause trouble

Cause trouble, no!

Asking him to explain his justifications for de-clawing, especially given by himself in the MAF report.

Asking him just exactly what he's done for big cat conservation, during his time at the helm of zion park NONE of his cats are part of breeding programs, making any offspring, declawed or not of no use to the international breeding programs for the specie in question.

Its time to expose the smoke and mirrors, his bubble has burst and his moment of fame will fade away

I would just like to say (please don't take this as an insult to smoe people) but let's just sit back and think a little before we put our fingers to the keyboards. I've made the same mistake in the past and it doesn't help if you let yourself get carried away.
If people like him or dislike him that is there opiniion, if you like him you'll turn up and if you don't like him you won't turn up.
This used to be a very good site for friendly banter but of late all that seems to happen is some people just having little digs at each other so can we all get back to the original state of play and be friendly again.

Well Said adrian1963

After all some people are only here to read the one post and probably haven't bothered to see what a brilliant informative/interesting site this is, with posts giving years of zoo and animal history, stunning pictures, interesting reviews from all over the world and something for everyone!

Let peace be quickly restored and lets get back to what we are here for !

Puts my claws away (not even gonna make a dig about having them still  ) puts on mittens (not kittens :D )

Agreed and well said. I read a lot of the threads on Zoochat. Great images too and information. And for the record I am not one of those people trying to stop Mr Busch going to the UK. That's his business not mine. I have better things to do with my time. An opinion is healthy - sniping isn't. Have a good one people. And let's get peace restored.:)

He is a very strange but misunderstood man. His love of animals should make him a caring and proffessional owner of a great zoo. Except he seems to be a mix of neglangence and dishonesty (my view). Why try to teach members of the public of the cats pplight in the wild and in some cases not to own them when he himself struggles and goes in with 'wild' animals. Small enclosures and squaller living conditiions will continue in the park unless he stops breeding every female animal at the park. I would not want any UK zoo to allow him to visit but unfortunatly that is the case, he will be visiting at i think at least four zoos in the uk. Why?

I imagine people would like to know because they are zoo fans and this is a site for discussing zoos and their goings on, not because they're going to cause trouble. Oh and because the zoos that do host visits from Craig Bush may be losing a few fans and the respect of some zoo fans and professional zoo workers who read these forums.

Mr Busch no longer runs Zion Wildlife Gardens as the Park Operator. He was originally replaced by Glen Holland former director of Auckland Zoo then Mr Holland moved on to Africa. Tim Husband of Zooworks has been brought in - the last MAF Inspection report was favourable. Zion and Shia have just been moved into a new enclosure. Tim Husband is applying best practice to the Park in the management and husbandry of the animals there. All the animals are on contraception to prevent uncontrolled breeding.

I'll take two views on Mr Busch visiting UK Zoos: The For and the Against

On the for side:Mr Busch has the right to travel to other countries as any person does. It will give the Zoo concerned an increase in revenue which can be then invested back into the facility for the benefit of the animals in their collection. It gives people who are fans of the television series a chance to meet him in person. It gives Mr Busch public exposure as the front person of the television series. That are the fors if there are more please add on to this guys.

On the Against: Animal Welfare Issues i.e. the declawings. Bad publicity for the Zoo/s concerned as in it sends the wrong message to the public that it is okay to promote white tigers for example as a separate and endangered species when the fact is they are the result of a colour mutation which can only be maintained by inbreeding. That Hands on contact with Apex Predators is acceptable practice in the Zoological Profession. Social concerns: His conviction in 2007 for the assault on Karen Greybrook . Again please feel free to add.

Two arguments there the for and the against.

Irrespective of your views about Mr Busch, he must have set some sort of ZooChat record for the number of posts and views about an individual!!

By the way, have any of you actually met the man and spoken to him?

Not to mention the number of new members who appear to have joined just to post about him! (Including a fair amount of carrying on arguments from other websites...)

It has been confirmed! Craig Busch will be visiting Dartmoor Zoo somewhere between the dates of 24th and 31st October. Unsure of actual dates. It is to coincide with their monkey mayhen week they have going on there.

have just read on dartmoor zoo's facebook page its 27th and 28th of october.

I'm going to Newquay Zoo on the 27th, but if free on the 28th I may pay a visit to Dartmoor and have a little "chat" with Mr Busch. Anyone else want to join in the fun or, alternatively, have any questions they want me to ask?

Only time will tell! Funny how they don't want to release any details yet? You can't stop people having an opinion just by leaving it till the last minute!
