I visited over New Years, probably stating the obvious but the Iberian Lynx were very elusive and got the impression only one had access to the on show enclosure, so I’d head right at the entrance and go there first as you’ll probably have to make multiple trips back that day to see them.Bumping this thread to ask if anyone has any general advice for this zoo. I know that Savana MEO is supposed to be their new exhibit for large African species like elephants, giraffes, and hippos
Last male passed. They stopped breeding them and let time do the rest.Does anybody know what happened to the black faced impala?
That really is too bad....Last male passed. They stopped breeding them and let time do the rest.
Who was the breeding bull?A white rhino baby boy was born to Andile on 15 August 2023.

Zoosafari Fasano will be - I assume - a non-breeding facility. Female Nova never bred ... and is from a rather well represented GOHR bloodline! The zoo moved a 0.1 Indian Rhinoceros named Nova to Safari Fasano in Italy in June.

Hello.dear all, a zoo lover from Singapore here.
It looks like I’ll have the exciting opportunity to visit Lisbon in January 2025, and your zoo is at the top of my list.
One animal I absolutely must see is the Iberian Lynx. Additionally, I’d like to ask whether the animals from Africa will be housed exclusively in indoor facilities during that time of year.
Thanks a lot.
Zootierliste says Lisbon is one of 4 collections with this speciesIf they haven't died out, make sure to see their short-tailed parrots.
Are the iberian wolves still in the collection? They are in the animals section of the zoo website, but i don't see them on the map and zootierliste also doesn't know.
Where in the zoo is it located? Is it near a certain species? (because i'm planning on visiting soon)IIRC you could only see them from the cable car when it passes over the behind the scenes section, but I might remember it wrong.
