I've come across all but leopard cats in roadside zoos and traveling zoos, plus the lynx ssp you mentioned. Servals are particularly common, but they're a large part of the pet trade as well, with hybrids.

I believe Columbus has some African leopards
They list it as African on their website, but no subspecies epithet is listed, only Panthera pardus is given. Also the map shows the full range of the leopard with no additional markings.
Anybody know specifics on Columbus's leopards?
They have "African Leopards". They used to have an actual African Leopard, but it died a while back.

So I've found 18-19 places with Geoffroy's Cat (not sure if one is still alive). I'm planning on doing a thread for all felid species, just going through and double checking my work which will take a few more days, but here's what I've found:

Another mini-trip ahead. Wanted to make sure I don't miss anything.
I'll be passing through Virginia heading to Hatteras, NC. Stopping at Great Dismal Swamp National Wildlife Refuge and Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge on the way down. On the way back up planning to stop at Virginia Zoological Park, Virginia Living Museum (Allegheny Woodrats), Metro Richmond Zoo, Plumpton Park Zoo (Black-backed jackals), Brandywine Zoo (just to visit a zoo in Delaware for the 1st time haha)
Any rare mammal species/subspecies I should keep in mind for this region? @drill @ThylacineAlive @TinoPup @birdsandbats @Great Argus

Yes! I went 2 years ago. One of the more challenging exhibits in regards to photography!
Which way are you going through VA, 95? You probably won't see the wood rats at the Living Museum, but it's a really nice facility anyway. Metro Richmond has african clawless otters. I've posted photos of almost every exhibit for each of those places, with Plumpton and Brandywine in particular being complete, to give you an idea of what they look like. Brandywine is nearly empty right now because they're doing big things with their master plan.
Yes 95. I've been to VA Living Museum before (indeed it is very lovely!) Hoping to set up something ahead of time with the wood rats since I figured as much.
When will you be going? I'd be very interested in participating, if you do set something up; <3 rodents. I got some photos of wild marsh rice rats in the aviary on my visit.
Do you know what year it passed? I went to Columbus four or five years ago now and want to know if I saw the legit African Leopard, or just an "African Leopard".
I think it was still alive in 2013 when I was looking at visiting (unfortunately never did; at that point Cleveland had a Persian still, too), past that I'm not sure sorry.

Brandywine has Swift fox. Can't think of much rare mammals in that area. Possumwood Acres Wildlife Sanctuary might have something.
I'm most familiar with marine mammals so that's probably gonna end up being the whole list from me. A lot of these are only rare cause they're rescued animals.
