Audubon Zoo List of Species On Exhibit 4/5/18

Were there any empty exhibits in Jaguar Jungle? I thought I heard Tybalt, Nashville Zoo's male Bair's tapir was supposed to relocate to this zoo, but I know they do not have a tapir exhibit currently. I figured he might end up in this area. Or maybe behind the scenes if they have in the plans to build an exhibit.

For a long time (I don’t know when the last of them died), the zoo had lowland tapirs mixed in the large yard in South American Pampas across the lake from the boardwalk that apparently now contains guanaco among several bird species, so if I had to guess, I’d predict he will end up there, unless Baird’s tapirs are harder to mix than lowlands.

There were no empty exhibits, but it would certainly be possible that he’s intended to be placed in the South America Pampas exhibit with the guanacos or with the rheas.

In case anyone was curious, Tybalt the Baird's tapir is going to be in this exhibit. I follow one of his keepers on instagram and I saw his new home in a live feed of hers. It looks very nice and spacious!

Really great posts! Does anyone know if they still have jaguar, ocelot, and maned wolf?
