No. When I visited on Saturday, I asked a docent/volunteer if there was an update on when it might open. I was told that they were told that the exhibit is about 95% complete and, once it's completed, it will take the cape vultures 1-2 months to acclimate to the new exhibit. Cape vultures were still present in the behind-the-scenes exhibit behind the jaguar exhibit as of Saturday.
Construction continues on the Swan Lake exhibit across from the flamingo exhibit.
Repairs to the African primate roundhouses appear to have been stopped some time ago. I didn't ask anyone when they might actually resume let alone be completed.
Repairs to the Francois' Langur exhibit don't seem to have been started so the exhibit remains closed and the langurs were still off exhibit.
Treetops Terrace remains closed due to the structural issue. I didn't ask anyone when that might actually be repaired and when the Conservation Carousel would reopen.
Unfortunately, it still does not appear to be open yet. The zoo will probably make an announcement on their socials or something once it has opened.Has the cape vulture habitat opened yet?
Same Habitiat, it was in the Afternoon and Morning when I saw it.Did the tufted deer move? Couldn't spot them last time I was there
Should be only Johar, our lone female jaguar. Kaloa the senior male passed away earlier in the yearHow many Jaguars does the Zoo have?
What does "ABILENE declined transfer" mean? It's in the notes for the transfer? Also wondering if it is a 2-year old female as the listing says, or a 4-year old female as you've described? In either case it would be lovely to have a second jaguar. There is a recommendation to send Estrela the female 4-year-old jaguar to Los Angeles Zoo from Zoo Granby. Go to page 383 and you will see it
