The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore Maryland Zoo News

With the colder weather, the lemurs have moved inside for the season. For the first time, the ring tailed lemurs will rotate days on exhibit opposite the sifaka lemurs. Their inside exhibit was recently spruced up with wood chips on the group and more upper level shelves to hop on.

I hope the zoo does their own news release. I am very curious where she will be exhibited since they are set up in geographical areas - Africa, Maryland, and the Arctic.

- I suspect that the last African leopard in the african section has died. There are very few of this subspecies in zoos, so I presume there exhibit will now be home to the Amur Leopard.

Actually, Hobbes, the male African leopard is still alive. They will be rotating on exhibit. And I'm sure when he does die, she will take over the area full time. Guests will have to overlook that one leopard is Amur, but honestly they just think it's a cheetah in the first place!

Going to Maryland zoo on Thursday. Anything anyone wants me to know (help for me) or find out (info for you)?
