Memphis Zoo helps rescue four baby pumas abandoned by their mother

The Memphis Zoo has helped rescue four puma kittens that were abandoned by their mother, the zoo said Friday.

The four kittens are currently in quarantine at the zoo's animal hospital and are being closely monitored by senior veterinarian Dr. Felicia Knightly. Zoo staff said the pumas are doing well and have begun to put on weight and are approaching what would be considered a normal size for their age.

The zoo has announced the passing of a female Sumatran tiger named Ratu at the age of 16
It's a shame, if she was Memphis's only tiger then I saw her recently. It would also solve the mystery of their tiger being signed as being the Bengal subspecies.

I don't believe they still have a Bengal tiger but they should have a younger male Sumatran tiger named Gusti (born 7/8/17) who moved there from the Oklahoma City Zoo. His presence is noted in the North American Sumatran Tiger Population thread:

The zoo announced on social media today the presence of young Sumatran tigers Dari (female) and Gusti (male). Dari moved there from Phoenix, but was born at Point Defiance, and Gusti moved there from Oklahoma City where he was born.
