I dont get channel 5 and its only available online to UK viewers, anybody know how I could see this program? will it be released on DVD or is it available on other websites?

Why are they going to move Lucifer on if he has only recently sired cubs? I'm sure they did the same when Kemal was at London, bred him once, then sent him away. It seems weird how they just establish a breeding pair, then want to disband them soon after cubs are born

It hasn't been that great and I find it incredibly annoying when they make stupid mistakes, more than once she's said breeds instead of species.

I don't particularly like the "presenter-style" zoo docs. I tend to find them a bit annoying especially when compared to the basic narrated ones (this was quite obvious with the Chester and Colchester series of zoodays). I still find them interesting and i'm sure the general viewer does, but I do prefer the narrated series

Some of the American/NZ ones (San Diego, LA and Auckland) which are shown on Sky are pretty interesting because it is a basic narration which introduces the scene then you get the expert keepers/curators/vets giving the information.

Regarding the presented series (Colchester, Longleat etc) I find that the presenters try (or more likely, are told) to get involved a bit too much and the keepers don't get enough screen time apart from answering baited questions (in my opinion of course!)

More annoying than that is the fact that some of the story`s they are telling have part of the story missing from it and as a result some people don`t come out of it looking to good!Pity because other than this the series is very good far better than zoodays ever was.

Seeing the aardvarks in their outside enclosure at Blackpool has been the highlight for me

My favourite zoo programme is the one about Bristol Zoo, my least favourite is the Colchester Zoodays.

Agree, but the silly mistakes make the program laughable at times.

I think these are just minor slip-ups, Michaela Strachan does have a lot of experience and a genuine interest in animals and it shows. She asks intelligent questions and I get the impression that she knows more than some of the keepers. She's definitely tons better than nice-but-dim Ben Fogle.

I think Ben is ok but they all talk in that soppy and patronising way.

As for saying breeds instead of species, once not long ago a London Zoo press release made the same mistake, I emailed to complain!

Ok managed to find a way to watch the program, this will come in so useful for anybody outside the UK wishing to watch any BBC, Channel 4 or 5 programs online. If you type into youtube watch 'BBC iplayer outside the UK' it will give a full instructional video on how to use proxy sites. I managed to catch a couple of the programs.
