It is quite alright @Diegooo, I personally don’t mind your English at all, so you don’t have to feel that bad. And after all, it only takes just a little practice just to get used to it. And also in my initial design for a future project of mine (which was the reason I posted my Banteng idea in the first place). I was thinking of having some Siamangs being able to freely brachiate above (but not touching the ground of) the Banteng enclosure, but nonetheless, what I am personally looking for is at least a single species of smaller ungulate, as well as free-roaming peafowl (which may or may not be part of the mix at all). If anyone else has any helpful knowledge of more locations with mixed Banteng enclosures. I would really appreciate it.Sorry for my english![]()
What species could be mixed with aardvarks?
Could Klipspringer or bat-eared Fox be mixed with Aardvark? (Not together- I know the fox and Klipspringer would be a problem)In Antwerp there used to be a mix with springhares and for some time also bushbabies (nocturnal exhibit), in Burgers' Zoo aardvarks used to be mixed with blue duiker (diurnal exhibit in a tropical hall).
I think so, I believe it could be done but I'm not certain.Could American Flamingos mix with any type of duck species?
I've seen flamingos, not necessarily Americans, mixed with ducks. This is generally a common mix and a fairly successful one.Could American Flamingos mix with any type of duck species?
I don't see why not. I've seen Chilean flamingos sharing aviaries with ducks, swan, geese, ibises, coots, etc. Keep in mind they weren't a breeding group though.Could American Flamingos mix with any type of duck species?
I'd increase your amount of flamingos and make each species even Male-female splits, other than that sounds fine.I thought about it and came up with this mix, would this work?
(Note: there is 5.6 Flamingos and all duck species there is 2.3)
American Flamingo (Phoenicopterus ruber)
White-Faced Whistling Duck (Dendrocygna viduata)
Fulvous Whistling Duck (Dendrocygna bicolor)
Blue-Winged Teal (Spatula discors)
Masked Duck (Nomonyx dominicus)
Lesser Scaup (Aythya affinis)
American Wigeon (Mareca americana)
I'm certain this could work, you could even add some birds into this mix as well if you wanted.Would you guys think that a mix between Little Golden-Mantled Flying Foxes (Pteropus pumilus) and Palawan Porcupines (Hystrix pumila) would at least work out in the most feasible way possible. I’m only going to say this once for right now, just because I wanted to make sure if the following mix can be feasible enough for me to work with for a future project of mine. and finally thank you very much for your help if you do know.
