My ARC came through today... A quick update:

Woolly Monkeys:

- Temporarily housing a pair from Zoo Basel while their home is renovated
- Organising the transfer of a pair from Louisville Zoo - according to the article they are the only ones left in USA?
- A young female from Valle des Singes is due to move over soon as well

Orangutan nursery is now open with Amei, Lingga, Dinda and my adopted little girl, Joly :)

Baby Jin is doing well, as is Hsiao-quai.

Fidget a squirrel monkey from the UK pet trade has arrived and will soon be moving in with the four ladies.

Kaiyah - a lemur from the UK pet trade has moved in and been introduced to the group successfully.

Hananya's enclosure has been refurbished with new fencing and play structures. The squirrel monkeys and lemurs are also due refurbishments due to be completed by Easter.

That's about it for now :)

Thanks for the updates James, does anyone know if there's going to be a new serires of "monkey life" coming soon?

The woolly monkey Yarima in the other group to Piquita has also had a baby recently. Not sure if they know the sex yet.

I'm visiting here on Friday, anything in particular that people want updates on, or anything I can find out?

Thanks. Has there been any births/deaths in the last month that I should know about? I will look out for any babies. And also I will definitely get some photos of the new orangutan nursery.

Zoey the golden-cheeked gibbon is due any time.
Two wooly monkey births in different groups as previously mentioned.

Does any-one know if Monkey world are:

1.Going to build their all male orang-utan complex ?

2. Are the park trying to breed from Lucky and Hisao-Lan?

3.Vietta and Tito is their any breeding going on their ?

4. I heard that the gibbon cages that were first built are going to be taken down and replaced with tree top exhibits is this ture or not ?

5. COCO ? Is she coming to the park or not

6. Any rescues planned?

Many thanks for anyone who tries to answer any of these questions and look foward to hear your reply :)

1. I think there are plans for another orangutan area but not sure if its all male.

4. I think the plan is to upgrade all the enclosures eventually so they all have large open enclosures, this may take some time however.

I will find out what I can when I visit :)

There plans to split the current orang outside enclosure in half so both groups can go out during the day. There are also plans to build a new orang complex down the bottom of the park near the female capuchin complex and Peanut, Pung-Yo and family

So, I went on Friday. Had a great day, it was very sunny and most the animals were active.

Chimps - Hananyas group was split in the morning, is this normal or has there been some issues? We saw little Bart, hes grown a lot and loves hitching rides! The bachelors were up to their normal antics. Not a lot to report here.

Orangutans - Got a glimpse of Jin, she already looks a big baby. Kai is still following mum around from what I could see. (Sadly Gordons group were inside so I didnt get a good view) Tuans group did nothing whatsoever outside, I think it was a little too hot for them.

The new nursery looks fantastic, the little ones love hanging from the roof, whoever designed it definitely knew what orangs like!

Gibbons - Saw Peanuts latest baby, very cute, it was already swinging around the trees like he had been doing it for years! The gibbon that was expecting hadn't had the baby yet, sadly for us. Sam and Onion are doing well and love giving vocal performances.

Capuchins - All looking good, they are currently building a bigger enclosure for the males, behind where they currently are.

Little monkeys - All well too, except the cotton tops have been put back in the monkey kitchen, I assume there was problems with the common marmosets again, I didn't see any staff to ask sadly. Oberon is also getting on well with the girls, I do feel a little sorry for him with all the ladies!

Lemurs - All looking good, again some were separated into the small cage, I assume there has been more fights in the group? Blue the red ruffed is still doing well and threw a fantastic tantrum at lunch time.

Woolies - All looking good, Diego is looking fantastic and is a lovely cheeky boy. The newest baby in that group also looks healthy although his mother is a quick mover!

Thats about it, if you have any questions, ask away.
