Movie review rant 2020

I do think she looked much younger on her multipass as Leeloominaï Lekatariba Lamina-Tchaï Ekbat De Sebat...

Well, of course she did :P she was only a day or two old in that scene!

Black Panther
This movie is incredible. Beautiful scenery, amazing costumes (although some look extremely painful to wear), a great plot, and lots of action. I also love all the scores in this movie, especially the use of drums in every score (and I mean EVERY score). This is my second favorite MCU film so far, only behind Ant-Man.

There is one thing holding this movie back from being as good as Ant-Man: the ending fight scene just lasted way too long. If it had been a bit shorter it would have gotten the top spot. My only other issue with this movie is that after seeing all this Stark tech in previous movies, it's hard to see how Wakanda is so advance. Tony created TWO sentient beings, and yet magnet levitation and some sand that moves into shapes are supposed to be impressive?

Next Review: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Have to say I thought that the review by Monty Python's Terry Gilliam was pretty spot on and hilarious too :

"I hated ‘Black Panther. Bull****. It’s utter bull****. I just I hated that movie, partly because the media were going on about the importance of bull****."

As much as I like this movie, I can understand people who dislike it because of the way the media worshiped it.

No disrespect to you intended with that comment by the way, its just I had to share it on the subject of black panther because Gilliam really makes me laugh how frank he was about how he felt about it.

And how did the media react to Gilliam's critique? They labeled him a racist... And even your full quote of his statement was edited.

Yeah, unfortunately I edited the comment because guess what ?

I don't want anyone reading too much into it and to accuse me of holding views that I do not possess (and evidently neither does Gilliam) for quoting someone justifiably calling a s*** film a s*** film.

I basically despise all Marvel films equally, I'm definitely with Scorcese and Gilliam on this.
