Speaking of White Oak…

Unrelatedly, a new male okapi named (1.0) Nanasi was transferred to the Animal Kingdom from White Oak Conservancy; and according to the Instagram reel where I gathered this information. It also confirms that he can now be seen by the public in Gorilla Falls.
 
In very exciting news, the aforementioned lion trio did arrive to the Animal Kingdom, and can now be seen by riders beginning yesterday (December 3rd).

Unfortunately, at the time of this announcement, the articles that I outsourced from do not confirm their names and place of origin; all that we know so far is that they are siblings (1.2.0).

Luna has miscarried as mentioned previously by @Yazziel but this article confirms that they are still expecting two baby elephants, so another African Elephant is then pregnant too, along with Kianga.

I would like to clarify that I may be wrong, and that Luna is believed to have miscarried based on talks in the African Elephant Population thread, though rumor has it, it has not been officially confirmed, and she still may be pregnant.
 
Recently, it was announced that the last inhabitants of the soon-to-be former Dinoland USA have all been relocated to different areas of the theme park, with their former exhibit now devoid of any animals.

Thankfully, the park’s pair of Abdim’s Storks didn’t move too far, as one can now see them in a once-vacant enclosure near the mixed exhibit for Cotton-Top Tamarins and Yellow-Footed Tortoises on Discovery Island.

As for their former roommate, an Asian Mountain Tortoise (Manouria emys emys), no word was given as to where the animal was moved to, and remains a current mystery for the time being.
 
Question- would it be more worth it to visit this February or next year at the same time? I know construction for the new area won’t be finished but will there be any new births or any babies now?
 
I saw in the Dec 2nd (or 3rd) 2024 USDA visit they listed a Bontebok and 2 Scimitar horned oryx's in their list of animals at the park. Has anyone seen them in the park or are they just in a yard backstage? The last Bontebok I saw on the safaris was Sebastian who passed away in 2023 and the oryx's passed away and were taken off the safari years ago.
 
The USDA listing was from December 2nd 2024 and listed 5 Lions so inventory was taken during the brief time DAK had two lion prides. DAK, DAK Lodge, and the seas with Nemo and friends at Epcot were all updated in early December (Though Epcot is out of date as the manatees were removed recently). Maybe the data is partially incorrect though and the animals were maybe just never taken off the list when they left a few years ago.

As a brief update, I recently found out that the two argus chicks hatched on January 11th, (2025), which currently makes them four weeks old.

[EDIT] This date was sourced from a keeper.
