I think i'll take advantage of this. Thanks for posting
I agree, I'm glad my local zoo has such rarities as Quoll, walleroo and white-collared lemur, along with a few others I never tire of seeing like snow Leopard , binturong , Crowned and mongoose lemurs. The armadillo are a nice addition too .Lovely little zoo. Very underated I think. Great to see some more unusual small species arrive over the last couple of years.
Because it was quite dark in there, perhaps a few visitors probably mistook it for a toilet or keepers shed, and would miss out on the 9B Armadillo's.
1.They had another collared lemur baby in March, not sure of the sex.Wonderful news! Great to hear of a vulture chick. Any more updates or info?
Finally got round to buying the annual pass, so will popping into the other nearby zoos over the summer.
Today I noticed the Binturong have moved to the enclosure previously housing the Quoll when they first arrived. This is good, as one of them seems to like sunbathing in front of one of the viewing windows. 'Juian', the white collared Lemur is now resident in their old pad. I thought I'd read of this before, but couldn't see it posted.
The building is part of a 3rd lion enclosure, should it be necessary to separate the malesI just popped into Linton on my lunch break as hadn't been for a couple of weeks. During the southern ground hornbill keeper talk, the mentioned they have had two chicks this year, being hand reared. Other news of note, there is a small building being erected in the wild field near the lion enclosure.
It is another male I believeGreat news, hopefully it's a girl this time. Will make sure I visit on 2nd Jan when I'm back to work![]()
