0.2 White Rhino were imported from South Africa to Monde Sauvage at the end of August and have just gone on show following quarantine
 
it were to females? I thought it was a pair.

if it really are 2 females, I'm happier than with a pair.
MS doesn't have the space to keep a group as suggested by the EEP, but with AI, 2 females could be useful.

Double checked MS's website: They are both females. Called Amelie (6) and Lucie (5)
 
New enclosure otters

The Asian small-clawed otters explored for the first time their new home!
 
Can anybody tell me, what happend with the old White Rino Stock, bevor the to new females came in?
 
They had 1.2 oldie individuals, all wild-caught in South Africa and born between 1966 and 1968. They "disappeared" … around March 2011. The new group started arriving in August 2012.
 
Male Southern whithe rhino arrived from Italy ( Parco Faunistico le Cornelle ) for the 2 females already at Monde Sauvage.
 
0.4 Impala also arrived from Emmen on the same day - they will join a male who arrived from Planckendael last month

This would be male Heiner (born at SP Hodenhagen) who was not to be bred to his half-sibling sister at the Le Cornelle facility.
 
Male Giraffe, Kunto (born January 2013) left this morning for Santa Inácio in Portugal
