Personally, I do not know where they are getting the Aardwolves from. I can try and find out though :)

Night Hunters update. There are pictures of the Binturong, Aardwolf, and Vampire Bat (Cave part) exhibits. As well as what will be the Burmese Python exhibit.

Also, Montgomery is the best bet as to where the Aardwolves are coming from. Their Aardwolves are held off exhibit and they are the only ones in the United States. I don't know for sure though.

Besides the basic information and fact file on the info signs they are taking an "artistic" direction with the usual informative paragraph on the signage.

Thank you kudu21 about the aardwolf info. Montgomery zoo seems to have the only pair left in the country. I would definitely going to visit Cincinnati zoo when they are on exhibit.
 
I'm planning on hitting the zoo on April 18th. All of the local spring breaks seem to be early this year so hopefully it won't be too packed. I'm excited to see the new Keas along with the baby Screaming Armadillos. Hopefully I'll finally be able to see the Okapis again. They haven't been out during my past several visits. I haven't seen them since they made their most recent move to the exhibit next to the bongos. I'm hoping to get pictures of the new Greater Flamingo exhibit and the Dragons exhibit which still haven't been represented in the gallery. Hopefully I'll be able to see the giraffe calf. It is expected to be born between the end of March and the middle of April. If I miss the calf, I plan on going back after Night Hunters opens so hopefully I'll see the calf then.

As far as news goes, Green! Green! Green! The zoo is now working towards to be "Number one at number two." Yes, they're working to be one of the leading composters.

The zoo also has a new Director of Development, Russ Doyle.

Bonnie and I were in Cincy today and saw that Giraffe Ridge was closed.When we spotted and asked a keeper why we were told that Tessa had given birth to what the zoo believes is baby girl a half hour ago.We were so excited to be able to break the story here on Zoo Chat but were unable to log on to the site on Bonnie's phone which we weren't too happy about but it was still pretty cool to be at the zoo for it and have gotten the scoop on before the local media had it.Both of us had not been to the zoo for several years and had a very nice time.The new Vine Street entrance is outstanding and it was nice to see construction crews working on the Night Hunters Project on a Saturday.By the way things appear to be coming along very well on it.

That's great! :) Thank you so much for letting us in on the news. I cannot wait to see the little bundle of joy when I visit in two weeks :) There are pictures of the calf up on Facebook now.

I'm glad you guys had a good time :) It's changed a lot in the past few years and I think it's on the right track. I'm excited to see where it goes from here.
 
Yes, Tiger Canyon is going to be renovated as well. This is planned for a 2013 opening and will be the final stage of the Cat Canyon project. Night Hunters is the first stage, Cougar (and possibly Snow Leopard) habitat is the second, and the Tiger Canyon reno is the third and final stage.
