If a female Serval becomes available the zoo may bring one in,but as too why an animal that would be solitary in the wild would be sad,is to me just applying human emotions to a WILD ANIMAL!I personnaly actually think the Serval is looking less stressed since his brother left the collection!
That'll be a shame, but isn't actually what I was told on Saturday, when a member of staff said that they'd be arriving soon.
) I can really take everything in much much more as there is no rush to cram it all in one day. The zoo seems much bigger to me now than I had remembered it previously. I guess this is down to me having a decent mental map of the zoo in my head compared to before.
One of those visits where everything was co-operating today!
The Aardvarks were asleep, but plenty of twitching noses and ears to show they were alive!
Saw the Howlers; the Giant Otters were very active, very noisy, and even showed off (briefly) in their on-show pool.
The Tiger cubs both out + parents. Super views, delightful behaviour - even to Kirana reminding one cub that she was having first - and second, and third - bite of her meat.
Saw both Sloths - at least, saw two bundles of fur in the tree
And to top it all the young Anteater also had a perambulation outside just as we visited the enclosure!
The young Tapir was sleeping alongside her parents, we saw both Anoa, and even a Spectacled Bear.
Don't get many days like that!!
