Walsrode now seems to have Blue-backed manakins and White-bearded manakins on show - two new species for the park. They are kept in the hummingbird house.
Walsrode is currently the only European zoo keeping the White-bearded manakin, and the Blue-backed manakin can only be seen at Walsrode and Tiergarten Schönbrunn.

Some other new species for 2021 (according to reports on zootierliste):
Tersina viridis - Swallow tanager
Pluvianus aegyptius - Egyptian plover
Phapitreron leucotis - White-eared brown dove
Schistochlamys melanopis - Black-faced tanager
Tachyphonus surinamus - Fulvous-crested tanager
Arborophila gingica - Collared partridge
Oriolus auratus - African golden oriole
Callipepla squamata - Scaled quail
It also seems like the park put their oriental storks on show this year.

"Im Kolibrihaus gibt es zwei flinke Neuzugänge: die nur wenige Zentimeter großen Pipras. Sehenswert ist das Balzverhalten. Dabei machen sie schnelle Rückwärtsschritte, ohne sich tatsächlich vom Fleck zu bewegen. Genauso wie die Kolibris kommen die Pipras aus den tropischen Wäldern Südamerikas.

Während die Kolibris mit ihren langen Schnäbeln den Nektar aus den Blüten saugen, bevorzugen die Pipras mit ihrem säbelartig geformten Schnabel Früchte und Insekten. Besucher:innen können die Fütterung buchen und dabei in der Voliere den Blütennektar an die Kolibris reichen."

from what I’ve heard the zoo also has scaled quail now :)
 
Two other new animals this year seem to be a Linnaeus' two-toed sloth "free-ranging" in Pukara, and some kind of muntjacs in the Uhuburg.

Information from www.kreiszeitung.de:
"Für den erhofften Saisonstart hat sich die Geschäftsführung des Vogelpark Walsrode neue Attraktionen erdacht und plant emsig deren Umsetzung. Hanna Koll erklärt, was es damit auf sich hat. Sie ist Öffentlichkeitsberaterin des Vogelparks. So gibt es Zuwachs von freilaufenden Munjacks in der Uhuburg, die Eulenstation wird erweitert und ein Faultier zieht in das Schmetterlingsgehege, sagt Koll. „Vergesellschaften“ nennt der Vogelpark das Zusammenführen unterschiedlicher Tiere in einem Gehege, die gut mit einander auskommen."

Broad-billed roller (Eurystomus glaucurus)
Rock pratincole (Glareola nuchalis liberiae)
Wattled lapwing (Vanellus senegallus laterialis)
Long-toed lapwing (Vanellus crassirostris)
Pin-tailed sandgrouse (Pterocles alchata caudacutus)
Eastern crested guineafowl (Guttera pucherani pucherani)
White-eyed parakeet (Psittacara leucophthalmus)
Kuhl's brown-necked parrot (Poicephalus robustus fuscicollis)

Walsrode is currently the only European zoo keeping some of these rare species.

I haven't been there personally yet, but most of the species should be on-show, yes. I did not ask more specifically but got told that the Broad-billed roller (Eurystomus glaucurus) is right now housed in the first aviary in the Paradieshalle (unsigned).

I assume that some of the other new species also should be housed in the Paradieshalle as they often keep new species there.
 
Thank you for all the updates! Can´t wait to visit the park again, although I´m afraid won´t be this year...

They were on show at the end of 2020 in the Paradieshalle (then in the first aviary to the right, used to house pygmy falcons). They did the same thing last year with some barbets that they said were new in the Paradieshalle, but they actually arrived the year before :p:rolleyes:

Ahh good to know, I already found it strange that they announced their arrival now, while Zootierliste showed that they had been in Walsrode since 2020.

In a recent instagram post of Walsrode, they mention that the Linnaeus' two-toed sloth is a 3,5-year old male "Bilbo" which was born in Faunia Zoo (Madrid).

Not at all strange that they would announce new attractions at the beginning of summer, the peak season, so as to encourage new and return visitors. In any case, don't they close over winter? They certainly did when I visited, but that was about 25 years ago.
